Class Instructors
We host regular Saturday Workshops for clients to teach them job and life skills. We aim for one job skill, one workout, and one hobby or fun class per Saturday. Previous classes have included:
- Resume Building
- Credit Literacy
- Intro to Excel
- Painting
- Workout
- Cooking
- Quilting
Instructors create the class curriculum/content but we can provide support as needed. You don't need to be an expert in the topic or skill to teach. Most of the clients are coming into these classes with little prior knowledge so anything you can offer is vaulable.
If you have a skill or hobby you would be interested in teaching, please contact us! Male class instructors are permitted.
Community Event Volunteers
We host holiday parties, community nights, and outings for clients and volunteers. We need volunteers to help set up, provide support, and help cleanup for these parties. This is always a great way to start building relationships with clients and show them people really do care about them. Previous events/outings have included:
- Pumpkin Patch Outing
- Valentine's Day Party
- Community Movie Night
- Paddle Boarding, Kayaking, and Picnic
Meal Train
Every week volunteers make a home cooked meal and bring it into the center. If clients are hungry we like to be able to offer them an actual lunch while they are working on programs or paperwork.
