Should I Attend?
Volunteer and Awareness Training is designed for people who want to volunteer for the Genesis Project. This training is a requirement for women who would like to work in the GP drop-in center with girls and women who have been forced into sex trafficking and want to get out of “the life.”
However, men and women who want to learn more about sex trafficking in this area and what The Genesis Project is doing about it are welcome as well! We not only need volunteers to work directly with girls, but need help with fundraising, administration, donations, the prayer team, cleaning, and organization within the center.
GP President Andy Conner, who founded the organization, will elaborate on topics such as: the pimping culture in this area, types of trafficking situations, stories from specific trafficking cases, experiences of victims, and how to talk to victims. GP staff members will speak on what The Genesis Project does to help them and will give an overview of the GP program operations implemented for the restoration process.
Requirements to Volunteer
- Individuals interested in volunteering in the center must attend the entire training to be eligible as a volunteer.
- If you are a woman and would like to apply to volunteer in the center, a background check will be required.
- Trainings do cost us money to run, which is why we ask for $30.00 fee.
